The Tavern

c1770 – c1794

33-35 High Street

This name is found in Rent Books of the Powis Estate pre and post 1771 showing (Byby?) Lake Esq paying 4/6p rent as tenant and under-tenant as Ed. Powell. It seems to change to the Red Lion Inn around 1794. See Red Lion High Street.
